TAKSU EXPERIENCE

The Taksu experience is a 3-day study of the participants' individual Taksu universe.
In Balinese philosophy, Taksu is like a divine energy that flows through creative acts. It's believed to come from the gods and connect the artist/performer with something greater. When Taksu is present:
The performance feels alive, magical, and transcendent
The artist is in a flow state, like their body is being "danced" or "moved" by the energy
The audience is also affected, feeling the energy and connection.
Our theater house is blessed with Atmosphere and Taksu, TWO ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS but not the only ones to awaken the Taksu energy in your body.
Later we introduce the dual perspective, which is one of the benefits when Taksu is reactivated in your body. The Double Perspective/ Icon.
Who sees who as student/teacher – teacher/student. A refined experience that is essential for the progress towards Taksu.
We ask the partaker to emphasize commitment, consistency and sincerity in defending truth, goodness, beauty and nobility and the image of wholeness when entering the building and the work. We transform the words into images so that they become physical and alive in the body.
We use special MASKS as part of the work, and we use some exercises that we have received from Balinese dance and music.
The masks we use are preparation for the TAKSU masks, which are significantly higher in energy and spirituality than the other masks in the large collection.
Some experiences are important to have during the work. It is the knowledge of ones, own private center the body live from! And that is the difference between AESTHETIC ARREST and TAKSU, and where they overlap.

When we metaphorically "scratch behind Taksu" we will find
Sakti (a deeper potency or power)
Ras (essence or juice of the experience)
and Sunya (the void/source from which Taksu flows)
It's like Taksu is the spark, but there's a deeper "source code" or essence behind it. Some spiritual traditions say that's where the real magic happens. Behind it lies Sakti (the potent force that shapes reality), Ras (the essence that makes art unforgettable), and Sunya (the vast emptiness where all possibilities live).
We ask for permission and then invite our local musicians from our village to come and play live with the Selonding instruments. (Old, antique instruments with iron bars and not bronze bars like in the other instruments} They will play the amazing music when the artist moves with the Taksu mask on as we enter the TAKSU quality and beyond the beyond.
To the spiritual and cultural appropriator: No, the instruments are not our villages sacred temple instruments.
The TAKSU masks are created by Per Brahe who his whole adult life as painter as theatre director and jazz musician have used the TAKSU energy. “HE GOT THE BLUES” Taksu masks belonging to the original Bali mask culture, do we not use or own at all. And wont, out of respect.
